The skyscraper is imagined in post-war Aleppo, Syria. When it is safe for the displaced refugees to return to a war-torn city with no identity it is natural to want to erase the memory of tragedy and loss, an entirely new issue. But we strive to articulate the past as a vivid architectural monument. To maintain the integrity of a history that we cannot deny. In its damaged state, we rejuvenate new forms of space and comprehension.

The injections are a by-product of the reconciliation of what is new and old. It requires inventiveness in order to be occupied. In due time it will become the scar that healed Syria. The acceptance of the existence of past violence, every segment of the wall tells a public and private story, articulating debris and ruined structures into its own new space, it is a tale of resourcefulness and invention.
