“Tectonic” was commissioned for Vivid Sydney Lighting Festival; a large scale festival celebrating light and projection artworks.

Tectonic proved successful as a sustainable form of light as part of Vivid Light Walk Sydney. 8 LEDs powered an oscillating blue-teal wave of 1500 recycled PET bottles. The installation in it’s build process and lifespan brings about awareness of our everyday consumption and spreads an important recycling initiative that can be established in any major city.

After the event all bottles were donated to an arts materials recycling centre, organic materials were safely disposed of and metal items were re-used at local construction sites.
