A 25m x 9m outdoor installation located in the entry way to the Flemington Racecourse. The installation was a threshold from the public space into the VIP area of the carnival. We developed a concept that engaged the site and its natural environment, utilising light, reflections and vantage points as the prime materiality.

A combined knowledge of materials, processes and spatial design led to a project that was extremely hands-on and consisted of constant prototyping from hand folding each mechanical fixing to CNC machining a curved deck.
